Jane Quiet ends the Old Year, begins the New

I looked at the files on my computer, specifically the dates on the computer.  I had no idea the last Jane Quiet had been posted in February of 2012.  It’s been a long time.   I really needed to regroup, not just for this series, but for the other two comics I’m working on, The Vampire Bed and Breakfast and Queen of the Cosmos.   All the comics had come to a juncture where I simply needed to sit down and rethink where things were going.  At this point they feel like they are integrally interconnected.    They are all Egyptian themed, with a good dose of magic and mystery.

Kate and I brainstormed a plot line a few years back that puts Jane Quiet into some pretty cool situations.  For now, however, I thought the comic needed a little bit of a recap, the last installment having appeared more than ten months ago.   So here we go, taking Jane into the new year.

Calling for Sekhmet

I had this idea of making this stalk of brothers growing out of the ground, but conception is a lot different from delivery.  This page feels a lot of incongruous coming as it does after Brother Djed’s getting down to the nuts and bolts of the meeting.  That being said, the bunch of these guys really are nuts.
